Salary prospects vary quite a bit but in May 2006, the top 10% earned more than $20.15 per hour. The median hourly earnings were $14.40, with the middle range being from $12.17 to $17.06. However, most work from home transcriptionists are paid per line. So how much you earn per hour depends heavily on the speed and accuracy of your typing.
